Beauty. A thing so ambiguous and ever changing; so imperfect and perfect in its rather varied sense of self. To see it, is to admire it. If it is not seen, it is not because beauty is absent, but rather, the occupation of the of the would be beholders psyche.
As constant as the wind, as cyclic as the seasons, the perception of beauty evolves with the age and psyche of those who see it. Free spirited, no doubt, the child sees. How passionate, the teen. How unique, the newly minted adult. What wonder, come the thirties and beyond.
A thing, beautiful, is never not. Constant in its inevitability, its changing nature is reavealed only through its vast variety. Like a sunbeam in its warmth and vibrancy, once found, comfort and peace can be won by the viewer through simple interactions.
Beautiful. Physical or mental, abstract or concrete, perfect or imperfect, light or dark, big or small, all-encompassing descriptive words such as these fall into the realm of beauty in some place, somewhere. To find it, simply use the senses you have at your beck and call.
Senses in themselves must surely be the most subtle and perfect form of beauty, for, to smell beauty, how wonderful; to see, hear and touch it, as perfect and harmonious as one can imagine. Yet again, the mind, the thought, the ability to dream, to contemplate, to admire and imagine, beauty is here.
Fascinating as a bird, as deep as the ocean, the ability to exist everywhere at once surely has given such a thing as this beauty, eternity. Simple by nature, complex in actuality, a revolving door of life, death, rebirth, and change, beauty defies the selfishness that is inherent to the beholder.
Never to be chained or kept, beauty can claim to be the most free of any. Be it admired, hidden, tarnished, or created, what it is will never be contained. Even the relationship can not escape the grasp of the free spirited beauty in its ever cyclical journey through eternity.
So dear reader, find the beauty around you. Use it, admire it, build or create it. Let it guide you through life, giving you comfort, peace, and happiness. In return, perhaps you will find a piece of that eternity for yourself.
